  • Bummer...my son loved these books as a child and helped to fuel his enjoyment in reading. Now he is passing that love and enjoyment to his own. I'll have to make sure I fill out my own library with all Mr. Jacques tomes.

  • Federal employes pay income tax, social security tax, medicare tax from their paychecks too. As well as shelling out for health, life, vision, and dental , and long term care insurance. They don't get a break just because they are civil servents.

  • Try again...it's Workers Compensation, not personal insurance. She was injured on the job. The article was comparing apples and oranges. Injured on the job = Workers Compensation Injured off the job = Personal liability paid via private insurance, out of pocket, or Medicaid.

  • Workers Compensation does not select insurance plans, it is a compensation program which each employer must pay into, including the Federal government. Each State has their own set of laws on how they administer the program, and the Department of Labor administers the program for Federal employees.

  • Thank you...someone else that understands the difference between Workers Compensation and private health insurance. It's so simple: Injured on the job = Workers Compensation Injured off the job = Personal liability paid via private insurance, out of pocket, or Medicaid.

  • Injured on the job = Workers Compensation Injured off the job = Personal liability paid via private insurance, out of pocket, or Medicaid. Don't mix apples and oranges. She was injured on the job and is elibible to Workers Compensation the same as if you were injured on the job.
